Greetings Little Explorer Families,
Riverview Gardens Parents as Teachers:
Parents as Teachers is a program offered to all families with children from prenatal to kindergarten entry who reside in the Riverview Gardens School District. When enrolled in PAT families will receive:
· Personal visits – your parent educator will bring information on your child’s development, fun learning activities for you and your child to do together, support you in your parenting practices, and answer any questions or concerns you may have about your child’s development.
· Developmental Screenings – include health, hearing, and vision and assesses all areas of your child’s development.
· Group Connections – provide the opportunity to connect with other families, observe your child with other children, and learn more about child development and parenting skills. (In-Person at the school or an alternate location agreed to by the family and Parent Educator)
· Resource Network – your parent educator can connect you with other resources you may need in the community.
Free diapers are provided to children under 4 years of age during personal visits.
